  1. Take a time-out when you need it. While taking a time-out focus your energy on something that will actively work to eliminate stress like practicing yoga, listen to music, meditate, get a massage, or learn other relaxation techniques. Doing these will help you step back from the problem and will help clear your head.
  2. Eat nutritional, well-balanced meals. Do not skip a meal or starve yourself of nutrition. Try to eat energy-boosting snacks when you feel depleted.
  3. Limit alcohol and caffeine, which have been shown to increase anxiety and even go as far as trigger a panic attack.
  4. Get enough sleep. When stressed, your body needs additional sleep and rest.
  5. Exercise daily to help you feel good and maintain your health. Some fitness tips are listed below that can help. 

For the biggest benefits of exercise, try to include at least 2½ hours of moderate-intensity physical activity (e.g. brisk walking) each week, 1¼ hours of intense activity (such as going for a run or hike or even swimming laps), or a combination of the two. These ways will definitely help you manage your daily anxiety.
